Marcel Roux Crowned Mr. South Africa 2024

Midrand, South Africa – November 10, 2024 


In a spectacular celebration of talent and ambition, Marcel Roux, a 26-year-old PE Educator & Sport Organizer from Cape Town, was crowned Mr. South Africa 2024 at the prestigious Vodacom World Events, the official home for Mr. South Africa, was filled with glitz and glamour, showcasing the diversity of South Africa as the country came together to meet their new ambassador.



The momentous announcement was made by Big Brother star Sinaye Kotobe, with reigning Mr. Universe South Africa, Ntando Lurwengu, proudly sashing Marcel with the Mr. South Africa title. The competitive selection process culminated in a thrilling showdown judged by esteemed pageant moguls and industry experts, with Marcel securing his title amidst fierce competition.



Joining him on the podium are first runner-up Luca Pontiggia and second runner-up Dylan Majavie, who will support Marcel during his reign. The evening was not only a celebration of the new titleholder but also a testament to the collaborative efforts of brand partners, including Vodacom World Events, Hisense, Vitalemen, Xiaomi, and S&S Aesthetics.


To heighten the excitement, the Mr. South Africa organization surprised attendees with a giveaway of a stunning 1-carat diamond from renowned jewellers, Uwe Koetter, further enhancing the event's luxurious experience.



With a heartfelt dedication to inspiring future generations especially youth, Marcel, a passionate father and educator, expressed his commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of youth by showcasing that regardless of circumstances, one is worthy of this life and everything it has to offer. "I am determined to change lives and inspire our youth. This journey is not just about me but about the generations that follow," he stated.
